Information We Collect

Weekend Left collects the following information when you sign in: your display name, email address, and profile photo from your authentication provider (Google or Apple). We also store the goals and bucket list items you create.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide the Weekend Left service: displaying your countdown goals, managing group sharing, and syncing data across your devices. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

Cookies and Local Storage

On the web version of Weekend Left, we use the following categories of browser storage and tracking. We do not set any first-party cookies ourselves; everything in the “necessary” category below is stored in your browser's localStorage. You can manage your choices anytime from Settings → Privacy preferences.

• Strictly necessary (localStorage) — Required for the app to work. We store: your Firebase Authentication session (keeping you signed in), your theme preference, your consent choice, and a few UI flags (tutorial completed, account-link reminder snooze, app review prompt shown). Firestore connections to Google's servers may also set Google-side session cookies for connection stickiness. Cannot be disabled.
• Analytics (optional, opt-in) — Vercel Analytics records anonymous page views and performance metrics via va.vercel-scripts.com. The script is cookieless and does not store a persistent identifier. No IP addresses or cross-site identifiers are collected. Disabled by default until you accept.

The native iOS and Android apps follow the privacy disclosures published on the App Store and Google Play; the web consent banner does not apply to those platforms.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) and is protected by Firebase security rules. Only you and members of your groups can access your shared goals.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your goals and groups within the app will remove them from our servers.

Your Rights

If you are located in the EU/EEA, UK, or Japan, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw your consent for optional tracking at any time. Use Settings → Privacy preferences to change your consent choice, or contact us for any other request.
